Emotional Atyachaar – I truly DISLIKE..!!
“Jitne bhi couples season 1 mein loyalty test ka hessa bane, hum unhe sachai ke kareeb esliye le gaye, because they wanted to know the truth themselves..” said by Pravesh Rana (Anchor) @ the very first episode (they named it curtain raiser) of Emotional Atyachaar Season 2. I really like the way they have shown their ‘modesty’. However, that’s not the reason behind writing this blog entry.
I know that our society is not perfect, there are some small loopholes, weaknesses or depravities. However, that doesn’t mean we should intentionally provoke that depravity, that evil side, for the sake of our entertainment. On the name of ‘Loyalty Test’, nobody has ‘no’ right to aggravate the grey side of human beings and publicise it for personal interest. I understand that there is a huge difference between creating awareness and spreading thrill. And I am sure that wasn’t about creating awareness at least. This will only create a doubt in the mind of viewers about their partner’s loyalty or this will push them to try this test on their partner just for the sake of their, so called, “satisfaction”. At least this is what I got in their approx. 20 or more loyalty tests. Almost, each and everyone who conducted this test on their ‘disloyal’ partners were not having any convincing reason except a doubt or availability of such show. They came ‘just‘ to check if or if not.
This is just like giving some equipment, which will beep every single moment someone lies to you. Then, for sure, we have to change the battery of that device every hour. Imagine how many relations will remain into existence after this. And then due to human nature, we will start asking such questions where someone has to lie, and you will say.. You are caught.. you lied to me..!! Or distributing loaded pistols in the crowd and then asking them to abuse each other. And the moment one shot dead, you ended up from being suspect to a murderer. Make sense?? That’s what happening. They always use model/actor for the position of their ‘undercover agent’ who always pretends himself/herself as an available option for relationship.
I read in a newspaper about shane warne and kumble. Kumble waits for the batsman to commit some mistake while shane warne pushes batsman to do the same. And what we are talking above is not a game of cricket, but a real life.
The ‘pronouns’, which are used in this show, are also very bold. Suspect..Undercover ‘Agent’.. seems like watching some murder mystery. It took me long to convince myself that this show is not scripted and whatever happening is not unreal. And now even bollywood actors are turning to this show to publicise their upcoming movies. Old Anchor Angad, who used to sit calmly (without emotions) with every suspect after that suspect is proven guilty, is replaced by New Anchor. Might be Angad wasn’t doing a great job which he used to do at IPL. (I saw him personally on ground mugging the speech and was happy to see his dedication towards work).
Lastly, I want to know why all these kinds of shows like Dadagiri, Sabki Lagegi, Emotional Atyaachar are coming “only” on UTV Bindass. Is it what “bindass” means? When I was in school, there was a chapter explaining, “bindass is not the way you speak or live, it’s the way you think”.
I don’t know if after some decades, there would be a show airing on “some/same” channel saying — DNA Test: Know your Father..!!
Planning to watch Emotional Atyachaar, I would say: This Time….. THINK TWICE..!!

Thanks Shipika..I will keep updating this blog by new posts.
Swati, you are very right and I am afraid to tell you that we already have a regulatory body who takes care of all these nonsense..if you remember there was a time when fashion tv was banned and even AXN was banned for some time or pushed for not showing adult content..& recently, on this same channel, UTv Bindaas, that regulatory body didn’t allow them to use a title for their program named “sabki lagegi”. They (regulatory body) have problem with title but they don’t have problem with what they show..LOLzz..strange but true.. In arab countries, you can’t even open any website or download anything which they think hurting their culture..Its easy and already implemented here or there but in this era, in india, we are running towards dead end..this is not something which will give us an edge..

Truly said. Although I never had an opportunity to watch this series but have heard enough abt it.
I remember few years ago when I had just started college or earlier, US reality series like the bachelor, joe millionaire, temptation Island etc was shown on star world. Then we used to scoff at the American television industry commenting particularly regarding the content they show. We all used to agree these kind of series can never be televised here carrying our belief that we are so conservative society …untouched…we are not so materialistic.. we can never stoop to such level.. blah..blah. But now nearly every channel be it V, MTV, Bindaas they are showing all possible crap. The worse thing is the age of the so called contestant in these series is 19, 20, 21, 22 and they seem to be amateur in handling this stuff. The channel themselves are so irresponsible that they show these series on prime time when they know that the kids are at home. If I remember Temptation Island on which this series is based on used to come at or after 10:30pm and had no repeat telecast (The reason why we never had an opportunity to watch it). Just because the Fox television is an American broadcaster that have to follow strict guidelines for telecast back home. But now these series are telecasted all the time. It not abt showing the loyalty but washing the dirty linen in public that shoots up the TRPs. It high time we need some regulation n some serious thinking.

Although I don’t watch such dim-witted serials, but yes you are true it affects our society largely now days. It’s not about only this serial; the problem we are talking is big with the new generation who want to earn money or popularity on the cause of anything. They go to any extent to earn that whether even if they are hurting their close ones, but who cares paisa hoga to sab hoga that attitude!!
A person don’t like to stand in the temple queue but they are ready to stand for 4-10 hr to get the Iphone 4, Ipad etc. as this is become kind of status symbol for them. They don’t have time for their family but yes how they can forget to login in face book, orkut etc.
It’s all about us only, we are the only one who creates good or bad society but choice is in our hands…

You are right.. but still I feel the culprit is the one who is playing with people’s emotions ..who is provoking the feeling of getting fame or money. Talking about temple queue or Ipad.. that’s completely a different and separate issue..

Thanks for the genuine feedback.. I agree to you but still on the name of creating awareness you can’t create doubt in the mind of viewers.. TV is simply a source of leading or misleading masses.. there are some social responsibilities of TV.. and these kind of programs are diluting the good efforts/things this media has done so far..

I think lets just take it as a TV show and watch it.. I mean reality is “inn” now a days…and this is what viewer demand for. There are couple of shows like Roadies, splits villa on MTV which are fully scripted..Infact they use the “beep” in most of the part of show. But U can’t resist this, u cannot avoid this…it attracts everyone, whether u accept or not. The most important thing is how you take the show…if you take it as just another scripted realyty bu** s**t…thats fine.
Ya but as of my personal view..these shows should be banned or completely removed from TV world..reason being the major viewers of TV now-days are kids…and I think this is not right time for them to learn all this stuff.
As far as blog is concerned…U rock man…we need to have such topics for awareness of ppl..and these needs to be highlight by all of us…:) …good going!!

Thanks dhaaru singh.. but you know that wasn’t scripted.. those were real time sting operations .. ofcourse.. I dont follow other progs like roadies or splitsvilla too.. as I truly truly truly believe that we have some culture and those progs don’t fit into it..

This subject is really good but u know I think in some cases its good too. Atleast for newly becom teens who think themself extra ordinary Koollll by doing this. I like E-Atyachaar infact I always want to make somthing like this(oopss they theft my idea..). But again u know this is maturity dude “aa gayi to 5 saal me hi aagyi nahi to 55 me bhi nahi…” So everybody just see these shows and plz dont try to get influenced so much that it ruin ur happy love life..

I appreciate your views..but as we say.. you learn bad habits faster than good..and the thing i hate is the way they publicise it for their TRP… they create thrill.. sansani.. they want us to feel that the world around us is not loyal instead of educating us for taking extra care being in relationship…anyway.. i am not imposing my thoughts.. just my opinion..
